Weds night i took my car to the mazda dealership to leave over night so they could fix my sunroof,anyway they told me that it would be ready thurs evening .So me and my friend got off work to go pick it up. Everything seemed great when i got there my sunroof was fixed and i was glad. Well i went to get in my car{by the way i just bought me some new 17 inch white rs limited wheels} and just happened to look down at my front wheel and i saw something hanging off my wheel so i said what the f$%* and look at it and it looked like someone took a meatgrinder and hit my wheel. So i went inside to tell the manager over service to come outside to look at it so he came out looked at it and said that there was no way they could have done that and that they wasnt gonna pay for it{my heart skipped a beat lol}.So i said well i know that i didnt do it couse i just bought them wheels like 2 weeks ago and i washed and dried the car off about 12 blocks b4 i took it there. He said well they didnt do it so i asked if he minded if i looked around in his shop area and he said go ahead. Well i looked and looked and almost gave up hope then i saw my tire tracks, couse i got some yokahama paradas and they got a weird pattern. But anyway when they pulled it to the rack they pulled up at an angle instead of lining it up straight like they were suppose too and hit the egde off the rack with my wheel. So i looked real close and saw white paint on it and pointed it to him. So he got down looking at it and rubbing it with his finger and rubbed all the paint off then said i dont see any paint on it and i said why hell you rubbed it all of{at this point i was mad as hell}. So i looked on the floor and saw white metal shavings on the floor so i didnt say nothing and went inside and got the main man. I guess you could call him the manager.I had him to come in the shop i had something to show him. So he came out i showed him the metal shavings and explained ,he got very upset and told me that he was very sorry about the run around and for me to go get 2 estamites and they would cut me a check {thank god}. Well i only gave 124$ for each rim and i got 2 estamites for 300$ only couse they gave me a run around so i took the estamites up there today so they said thier insurance company is gonna send me a check in the mail in about 2 weeks wew. Sorry about the long drawed out story but i thought that it might humer a few of you out there and the moral to the story is that if you have any work done on your car inspect it when you leave it and when you pick it up couse if i wouldnt have happen to look at my wheel b4 i left i would have been out of luck couse then they could have said i done it after i left .

man, that was some bad service, hope they do send you the check though.

I had some similar experience but not as serious.

I had a regular check up with my suzuki, and the dealership must have used some kind of wheel cleaner and forgot to wash them off. I did not check my wheels, so the corrosive cleaner eat the coat off my rims, my rims became very dull with strange white marks. I tried everything but they just won't come off. I did not go back to the dealership because i only found that out a month or two later. i had nothing that can prove the damage was done by the dealership. so, i guess the moral of my story is to "remember to wash the wheel cleaner off your rims!"

I had no problem reading your post....and am sorry you went through that. I woulda been pissed myself too. Glad you did notice the problem....and are making them pay extra for all the BS they put you through!

shay shay they are gonna give me some extra they just dont know it lol. I had the two shops that i do alot of buisness with kick up the estamites real high

another lesson you learned...when you have a problem after service...NEVER go back to the tech....always go straight to the service manager.....and if for some reason that don't work....do directly to the owner....the tech gave you crap because he hoped you would leave and eat the wheel....KNOWING he screwed up...and would get his ass in a bind from his boss....

nice too see you back nuke..... hope you had a nice trip,and you are right i just hope this does not happen too anyone else couse it was bad enough for me to pick out some wheels , then i had too run around and get estamites ,order another wheel,then have it put on.
but all and all i guess everything turned out ok.

well its good to be or get back on the board....but I am not really BACK....LOL....I am still ON vacation and having a nice trip.....and will be for another week and a half.....I just have access to a computer....and after all...how could I resist staying away from here!!! :{D
