Are you building a top fuel dragster? Aluminum rods are usually used in things like drag cars to reduce the impact from the insane ammount of horsepower. They only keep those rods in those cars for about two runs, they stretch real easy. If you got aluminum rods, yes your saving weight but you'd only run them for maybe a thousand or so miles before they were stretched. Plus to get the strength out of them that they do, they have to make them huge which means you would probably have to notch the block in order for them to clear. Aluminum rods are great but not for our cars.
