Black tinted '02 P5
does anybody know if Mazda or a third party will make white out tail lights for the Pro5?

JDM Style.

I saw a pic of a JDM P5 "Familia Wagon". And I must have the JMD Tailights. There all red with a little clear strip for the back-up and turn signals.

Do you want some doritoes ?

Cuz you must be high. Those Altezza's aref or an MP3. Were talking Protege5 here. There a completely different lamp assembly.

Geez, sorry. It was a mistake. No need to be a prick about it.

If you want to get picky then learn to spell and use proper grammar. AN is only used before a word that starts with a vowel and "A" goes before a word that starts with a consonant.

Example:
I bought a cookie.
I just bought an apple.

So you saying that the light assembly is for an MP3 is not grammatically correct.

Another error:

It's they're, not their. Their shows ownership.

Example:
We passed buy their house yesterday.

They're is a conjunction. The combination of they and are.

Example:
They're going to move this to the Flame Wars section if I continue.

There will be no pop quiz on this tomorrow.

Just pissed me off that you had to be a prick about the whole thing. It was a mistake.

After further research, Pro5OnSpeed, I have found no resource that says there is an Alteeza style light yet made for the P5.

Thank god there is no "altezza" lights for the P5. The day i see a bunch of p5's driving around with them on im throwing my car in a lake. And to the guy that said "you must be high" or whatever, you need to chill out.

sorry guys moving this to the protege5 forum. and remember, play nice. different strokes for different folks.

Or . . . . "an urban blight," or "an open door" . . . . ;)

If im not mistaken, although off the top of my head i don't know ALL the rules that pertain to this, but to me "an mp3" sounds more gramatically correct than "a mp3."

Actually OurP5 I think you're wrong definately. Think about it; it works because it's an abbreviation(sp?), so it's like saying "an em-pee-three" (which is gramatically correct) rather than saying "a em-pee-three." It would be different of course if he were to say "an mazda protege three."

^ my 2 cents

All this excitement, and I am going to Have-To-PEE.
;)

I appoligize for my attitude in my previous post. It's just that so many people think the emm-pee-three and the Protege5 have the same taillights. When it's obvious just by looking at them that the P5's are physically larger.

Once again sorry for the "tude" in my last post.

This is actually correct. The "a/an" rule is as rife with exceptions as any other rule applying to the English language. Any word beginning with a consonant, yet maintaining a vowel sound at the beginning, is allowed, yet not required, to be prefaced by "an".

As well, while OurP5 is right that the correct usage of "there" (not "their", as mentioned) in this context is actually "they're", it is not a conjunction. It is a contraction. A conjunction is a word that ties together two phrases or words to create a balanced phrase or sentence. The word "and" is an example of a conjunction.

However, OurP5, I'm glad you brought up the subject. Grammatical fluency is in a sorry state, indeed. Although I have developed a tolerance for it over the years, it appears to be getting worse.

I stopped commenting ad infinitum on this subject when I realized I was making common mistakes myself. Commentary draws attention. Besides, within the posting context, looser, more coloquial, language is actually more comforting overall. We are not communicating in an intimate setting - we're reading illuminated pixels generated by a systematic ordering of electrical current. The relaxed nature of our delivery helps break the edge of technology and bring us closer together.

By the way, DeXX, you spelled "abbreviation" correctly. It was "definitely" you misspelled. ;)

And thanks for the apology, LittleRedWagon.

Peace everyone. :D

This is on the "edit". I had to return to spell "misspelled" correctly! See? I told you!
:D

I stand corrected. Thank you for being adult about it. :D

I stand corrected..... again. When I posted that it was like 1:00am. Head wasn't real clear. :D

Rock on LittleRedWagon. Sorry if I seemed a little abrupt, but like I told Syzygy. I was tired and had a rough day and it just struck me wrong. No hard feelings?
