Almost a CX-7 owner

Hi, this is my first post on this forum. Today I negotiated a deal on a 2010 Cx-7 Gran Touring and put down a refundable deposit. The engine is the 4 cyl turbo. Is there anything on the car that I should watch out for in the way of maintenance or unreliability? I'm getting out from under a 2004 VW Toureg which was a nightmare service-wise and I don't want a repeat. I haven't had a Mazda since late 80's when I had an Rx-7, which I loved, but that was then, this is now.

Thanks for any tips.

No most of the bugs were worked out in the 2008 model year. Enjoy your new CX7.

...and while I loved our Toureg, it too was a nightmare.

The only mistake I made with my 2007 CX7 GT was to switch to Moblil 1 too soon. By changing the oil the first time at 1000 miles I didn't allow the rings to seat, it took until 25k miles for me to average 20 mpg hiway. I now have 40k miles, only 1 unscheduled trip to dealer for chech engine light/ gas cap at 7 k miles. I also have had first gereration RX7s along with a 94 M Miata. MartyD

Yeah, I did the exact same thing. We're at 36k and averaging 21-22mpg on an 80/20 hwy/city mix now though. If I drive it however...18-19mpg tops (rlaugh)
