Ally's super awesome cwp hatch thread. :)

today was a busy car day for me :)

I dropped my front lip off to get covered in 3M film
I took my summer wheel (the new one to replace the damaged one) to get the tire mounted

Then i got pulled over for no front plate :( I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW its my fault!

repainted my calipers with a custom blend of Orange & Gold G2 Caliper paint

installed my rally armor mud flaps

swapped winter for summer wheels!

Next weekend: Install front lip, swap out yellow fog light film for orange fog light film, fix my horns (they stopped honking), install rear camber links.

i am impressed with their functionality. my white car usually has crap all over the doors minutes after i wash it. when i was taking the pics in that gravely/muddy/puddle filled construction yard the car was still clean but the tires & mud flaps were covered in grit & mud

They're good for car being clean, but not that kind of mudflaps.
They dont look good to me on a 3, they mess up the lines :(

I really like the looks of the flaps. The rears look a little long but other then that you can barely see them in the pics.

And if they protect the skirts from tons of chips and dirt then I'm all for it!!

+ I love that the lugs match the caliper paint so closely!! Very nice

cheaper than a new paint job! i have so many rock chips on my doors that they would have saved if I had them earlier. I'm just happy that I won't have crap flung up on my doors 5 minutes after I wash it.

yea that is true, i completely agree.
question is why dont we have oem mud guards??

did do the foglights your self? just laminate and cut?
or did you have a template of some sort?

sorry for the noob questions :)

edit:

also when are you putting the oem lip on?!

my fog light film was installed by the guy who did my tint. the film comes pre-cut to fit the lights and they install with soap, water & a hair dryer or heat gun.

oh ok, do you have a link to which film you bought? looks like lamin-x requires that you take off the front bumper. i maybe wrong but either way i want yellow fogs

You should remove the mazda emblem in the bottom left corner of your hatch. It would look a bit cleaner and having two mazda emblems is a bit redundent anyway. Just a suggestion though
