Alignment in Austin - Not JC or SS

So, SoulSpeed is closed down for a while, and my p5 is too low to get up on JC Auto Spec's alignment rack... is there anywhere else in town, I don't mind driving a bit, that can do an alignment on a lowered car? If it won't go up on JC's rack, I don't think it's going to go up on NTB's or somewhere like that...

Anyone else had this problem? My Miata was much lower, but I guess the long wheelbase on the p5 makes it tough to get up on a rack... The Miata was aligned at SoulSpeed, maybe they have a lower-profile rack..?

Anyway, any suggestions appreciated..

I'll post up some pictures when I get home from work. It's low -- Ksports. It doesn't seem any lower than some of the others on the board though.. I'll post up pics tonight.

yeah thats definitely lower than susamafone's car. Can't say i really know of any place, sorry mang.

Well, thanks for trying. My new plan is to swap wheels w/ my roomate for a day. He's got an '07 Civic Si, the wheel/tire combo is close to 2" larger in diameter, so if they'll fit, it should raise me up off the ground far enough to get on the rack and not affect the alignment. I know the bolt pattern is the same.. I don't know if I'll be able to turn. Maybe just the rears? We'll see..

On a side note, JC was really nice. I talked to the guy about it for a while when I picked up the car.. very apologetic, said if I could think of anyway to get it up on the rack they could align it great. We'll see if my wheel plan works.

Well, to follow up.. Soul Speed has reopened, and appears to be under new management/ownership. Bill Kim was the only guy I had ever seen up front in the shop, but when I had my car aligned a couple weeks ago it was another guy.. didn't catch his name. Nice guy, even charged me less than I was expecting/have paid in the past.

So, if JCA gives you the run around b/c they're too lazy to get your car on their racks, SS is back open and back on track it seems.
