Alarms...?

Thanks for the info AGR#7. That alarm system is really nice. Do you know how much it cost, DJBOOTS? Do you have that alarm for your MSP?

A friend of mine at work has a system similar to these 'DJ' listed. His was around $450.00 (installed), but I don't think his has a turbo timer included. It starts the car, has the distance alarm warning, etc...

Many alarms have turbo timer functionality built in, and most aren't super expensive. Try talking to a reputable alarm installer in your area.

how do you get a remote starter on a manual? doesnt the clutch need to be pressed in when you start? and you need to park in Neutral then, too, so that when the clutch disengages, you wont stall...

seems odd to me

the compustar alarm is designed for the manual tranmission to do the starter function... you have to do a series of 'moves' to get into what they called a reservation mode. (put into 'N', then hand brake, then release brake, release clutch, turn your ignition off and exit out the car in 2 minutes)

if you don't get into the reservation mode, you simply couldn't use the starter to start your car, but the alarm is still there.

is a good system i think.
