I just got my 03.5 mazdaspeed protege a few weeks ago and I love it. Today I switched out the headunit though, and when I went to reconnect the battery the alarm goes crazy on me after 15 seconds or so. The dash light flashes and then the horn starts going off. I have been using the emergency button under the dash to shut it off, but how can I reset the alarm so that it is functioning normal again?
I've been searching the forum and found a couple post where you arm the system, unarm it, open and close the door, ect., but none of those combinations have worked for me. Does anyone have more advice/detail about what I should be doing?
