Ok guys i need some help.
I have read here that many MSP's had the shock sensor sensitivity set too high from the factory.
Mine is the opposite, it's too low.
I have looked under the dash for the white knob to adjust, and i can't find it.
I was at the dealer for service and they told me the alarm "can't be adjusted", and that it was "within spec" (translation: they couldn't find it either).:(

Now, i have spoken to a number of MSP owners on the Toronto site, and have come to the fllowing conclusion...

the 2003 MSP alarm has the shock sensor dial on the alarm module itself, while the 2003.5 alarm has a separate shock sensor. Is this correct? (uhm)

I will be under the dash looking again this weekend and just want to be sure where to look.

Thanks in advance.

not sure about the MSP, but I have an ES with the factory alarm. the little black box is right under the steering wheel.. you can see it if you look through the crack between the steering column and the bottom dash piece. it is a box that is like 2x3 in or so. there is jsut a little white knob there that you can turn. turn it clockwise.. to turn the sensivity up.

You have to pretty much crawl under the steering wheel just before your head hits the brake pedal, then you will see it. Turn counterclockwise to decrease sensitivity.

Stormtrooper, on the big alarm module itself or on the separate shock sensor ?

There is only one box with a white nob. It also has a red light as well that is triggered as you tap it for sensitivity.

I have the GS without the alarm option but I do have immobilizer and keyless entry. is there a seperate module for the alarm? Dealer wants $500. Is it worth it or should I go aftermarket?
