With our products we use a special (patent pending) gel coat like product, AND also finish each product with PPG clear coat, resulting in a truely 100% UV stable product.
Unfortantely, there is no way to completely remove the damage to your hood because it is into the gel coat. Sanding, and applying a clear coat can help but some traces of the damage may still be visible and may even return. I'd suggest painting it body color.

Damn, I'm the third owner on my hood. I thought the cloudiness would go away if I had the clear coat redone. I guess the fourth owner is going to get a good deal.CrazyCaker said:No. As far as I know, we are the only company that provides a factory clear coat on every product. Please also keep in mind that clear coating isn't going to solve this problem, it is the type of resin used as well.
