ok, so i've already gone ahead and had a muffler shop remove the cat and exhaust res and replace the stock piping with a free flow 2.5 piping, and just left the stock muffler on along with the stock tip. now i'm wondering should i go ahead and replace the stock muffler for a high peformance one, only thing is if i do, i do not want a fart cannon muffler/tip combo. any ideas or places i could find a high perfomance muffler to replace the stock one and keep the stock tip?

you should check on magnaflow s web site, probably a bolt on available,or find a universal one that you can fit on it,and they are great for sound performance and really high quality...

Thanks, any ideas as to which type of muffler i should go with for the best performance? since i'm going n/a should i still try to keep some back pressure or no?

if i was you,i would try to keep some back pressure, and that s what magnaflow s systems does,it help to keep some torque, more agressive response, and more power on the top end revs....there are many company s who sells mufflers, but for high quality,go with the best you can find, you wont regret it...

check out the racing beat ones to,they are really great, almost the same sound of magnaflow s,and the quality is practically the same...two really great company s for our cars.....
