How to replace cabin air filter

Hope you can help me. Where is the cabin air filter and how to replace it? Thanks

Cabin filter is behind the glove compartment.
1) push in the anchors on both side of the compartment door while holding it (don't let it free fall)
2) you will see a white plastic door
3) unlatch it on the left side
4) you will see the rectangular piece of filter.
Reverse the process to install.

You should change the filter 10K - 15K.
It gets dirty fast!!!

Dumb question. Which direction does air flow? I pulled my old filter out and didn't make a mental note of which way it was installed.

The flat side goes on the bottom.

Mazda suggests changing every 2 years or 24K miles.

My new filter doesn't have a "flat" side (well I guess it has 2 flat sides), but that's enough info... looks like air flows "down", which is what I guessed when I installed the new one.
