AEM Short Ram system

So is the AEM cai a better choice than the injen? Someone put a bug in my ear about HKS coming out with an CAI and a turbo? Its a reliable source so be sure to keep ya ears open.

i was told that the AEM was better than the Injen by a guy that owns a p5 and runs a performance/import tuning shop. (for what thats worth) this is on my list of things to get.

i thought aem did not make a CAI for the P5 yet? am i wrong?

They don't it is a short ram which takes in the warm air from the engine compartment .The CAI takes in the cooler air I hav some pics of mine but I am having a problem with posting them as I do not have a website, but I can email them.
With the Sort ram what do you do about the MAS and the temp probe?

The MAS should remain on the intake pipe, The aftermarket intakes should have designed them to stay in. The car won't run without them.
I decided to build my own, and made a pipe extension coming out of the end of the MAS, and places the filter directly above the fender opening. In the Northwest, the water issue keeps me away from a low mounted filter. Yeah, I know, there's the AEM bypass, but this way I'm sure it's safe.
I didn't worry about the temp. sensor, just put it next to the filter so the computer knows the temp of air at the filter, just like the stock box. I also read that the computer doesn't even really do much with the temp. anyway.

has anyone seen the weapon R system that allows you to change from CAI to short ram very easily? you can see it at their web site. seems like a good idea and i would solve the water problems you face with have a permanent CAI.
