It's official -- My precats are shot. I got the check engine light two weeks ago, and the engine started to sputter a little and I took it into my mechanic.
Both precats are shot -- they look like they are disintegrating.
So ... what you YOU do?
He found after-market pecats for $583 and $683. Why these things are different shapes and sizes, I have no idea.
I found cheaper ones on ebay for between $250 and $300.
I hear about some people getting headers -- so I need advice on where to buy them, how to install them and how to handle the O2 sensors and avoiding check engine lights on. One idea about headers - I don't want my car to be any louder.
