I sell accessories for Mazdas at the dealer (as well as my website), and we have been doing custom cars on the lot. But I would like to hear from you guys about your experience with body kits, and which ones you do like or don't like.

What fitment problems have you had, and what levels of quality.

We would like to do something from MAZDASPEED, but they don't have anything for 07-08. Since these are new cars we are selling, the kits have to look perfect.

I am looking at the Extreme Dimensions kit right now. Someone recommended them to me. I can get the Autoexe, which I like, and would like to hear about it.

We will be doing some Mazda3 sports, and some MAZDASPEED3. I think we have 16 MAZDASPEED3s coming in, so a couple will have MAZDASPEED CAI and exhaust, and custom wheels, custom 2 tone leather, and the body kit or bumper, maybe.

I appreciate your input.

I have some cool MAZDASPEED decals I can send to people who have real world experience and can give me some good advice.

Thanks.

on his forum their are VERY few people with body kits. with the exception of the protege sedan with the mp3/ msp kit.

as far as the MS3 i've seen one on here with the auto exe and thats it as far as the MS3. not many people on this forum would go for body kits. most of the people are more for go than show. some even swap out their 18's for 17's for performance reason, but good luck, its always good to have quality fenders trying to help us out

I would like to see a midwing for the speed 3 right below the rear window in the rear. I had one on my GTI and it looked nice I might even mod a GTI one to fit after I get my speed3 to see how it would look.

Yeah, I totally understand the more go than show, but we wanted to experiment with some mild body enhancements. We definitely don't want a bunch of tacky ricey cars on the lot, but a few mild customs will be nice.

And they will sell to the general public. The enthusiast you find on the forums have a little different mindset.

I dont know many names of kits, but if there was a kit that subtly widened the fenders (so we could run wider tires) I bet it would sell well...

The auto exe front bumper and grill are nice. Garage vary has a nice lip for the front of the car as well as some addons... you could also look into doing the shark fin antenna and the eylids to slim down the profile of the front lights.

Just some thoughts on some minor additions.

http://www.visionautodynamics.com/ does an awesome kit for the mazda 3. if you search 07 mazda 3 sedan it's the first result top right.

if you want lots of $$$ though check out into getting the 07s a open mouth grille (or garage vary copy). just anything to get rid of the chrome dear god please! hahah but there's huge gauge interest lists on another forum...

zoomzone, have you considered aero components from RE Amemiya? They have Speed3 specific options, i.e., air diffusers, spoiler lips, etc.

+1
Of course I'm shuddering right now thinking of the 70's craze with the double fenders. The one where people essentially cut out the fender then welded a second fender on so it stuck out and made the wheel well several inches deeper and the car looked about a foot wider.
ugh! I need to go gouge out my mind's eye with a spork!

I'd be willing to bet (on this forum at least) you'd have the best luck with under car diffusers for the rear, and a functional cool looking understated lip for the front. I'd be interested in both, and I do strictly go mods. no show at all.

I like the autoexe front bumper, and most of the re anemiya stuff looks really good, especially the front lip, costly though. Other than that I don't think there's much out there (yet?) for the speed3.

These things are so simple, yet no one does them. Everyone loves carbon fiber lips and rear splitter, they are the s***.

Sorry didn't see you post, but I feel the same exact way as you. Give me a nice 1" drop, subtle front lip and rear diffusers.

AUtoexe is great but a bit up there on price. I'd like get maybe some sort or lip kit but the only one i see for our car I'm not too big on.

the only problem with the two jdm kits is they are crazy expensive and take forever to ship. that will also tack a bunch o fmoney to your showroom cars. coming close to 30k, most may say screw it and go for an sti or something instead...

unfrtunately for the ms3 there isnt many options other then the few jdms ones right now and one replica, but thats not a widely available lip from what i understand.

good luck

x3 for a mild front lip...

i would get this in an instant if it was available for the ms3. the GV is a bit...crazy for me. actually, the GV in CF would be ideal since it'd be harder to see.

but- in terms of a mild lip, CF would be nice, but anything else that is durable would be ideal. urethane isn't a bad idea as long as it's quality.

to the OP, the GV stuff is the nicest styling i've seen of what's available. It might be worth bringing some of that over here, but the cost might be prohibitive as mentioned.
