Adjusting rear toe

Hello, My right rear wheel has a pretty noticable toe in problem. I got this from the Protege FAQ on rear toe adjustment, but I don't know what it's talking about...

" The (rear) toe is adjusted by rotating an eccentric bolt at the inside of the rear TTL
link, which will also change the camber slightly; however, this method should not be used to
adjust camber because rear toe has a much larger effect on handling and tire wear than rear
camber. "

My question is.... what exactly is the TTL link?? I see a lot of joints under there and not sure which one to mess with. Any help is appreciated.

Please use this picture for reference and tell me what I need to adjust... arrows would be nice. :)

Thanks!

the TTL links are those two bars in the picture that go toward the center of the car from the hub.

If you look at the INNER mount of the rearmost of the two black bars (they are the TTL, like njaremka said) there is a silvery plate with little division marks on it and a little arrow (I think) pointing towards the division marks. That is the rear toe adjuster. I think each division marks 1/8" or 1/4" of TOTAL toe adjustment when the same adjustment is done to both sides. I won't swear to the scale of the marks, though.

In all honesty, though, if you don't know what you're doing, you'll be MUCH better off getting a professional alignment done. I tried messing with the front toe for an autox last month, and after resetting it to where I thought I'd started, I found that I had left 3/8" of toe OUT in front!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD!!!!

Anyway, good luck and be careful if you're going to do it yourself.

Thanks for the help. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so i'm gonna go play around under there to try to fix it.... i took it to mazda to have that SAME wheel bearing replaced... and they said the toe was pointed in. I was like, can you fix it??? They said, no, but a good alignment shop can. Great service!!! :(

I'm installing my springs today so i'll be getting a professional alignment shortly. I just want to fix it quickly because my camber is ALSO fuked up and my wheel will rub after dropping it... due to the positive camber.

I'm hoping by fixing the toe that the camber will be reduced as well... per the protege FAQ that i stated above.

Fixed!!! I ended up using a "home depot" crash bolt ( a 8 mm bolt as opposed to 12 mm) to fix the camber... but the idiot person before me had the toe in as much as possible... a quick twist of the wrench got it back to near parrallel... we'll find out how close it is when i get aligned on monday. it's as much toe out as it can get right now... so if it's still toe'd in, i've got problems!!!! i think the car must've hit some big curb or something before i bought it.

BUT, dumb mazda for not fixing my toe issue..... it was easy and took 5 minutes. Oh, and my teins look sweet... no more wheel well gap!!! :)
