WOW...yeah the side skirts are a bit funky for my taste but the car is beautiful! I'm an uber 3rd gen rx-7 fan...but have been unsure about owning due to a lot of horror stories and reliability problems I've heard/read/seen over the years...What's your take on all that and how is the beast holding up?

Same here. Ever since it came out in '93 it was my dream car! Hearing all those stories do get you kinda paranoid but what I found out is the key to the rotory is TUNING!!! A lot of people just throw mods on the car without the proper tuning (sound familiar...) and with how fickle the rotory is just one good ping and POP goes the apex seal. So tuning, cooling and maintanace and the rotory will be just as reliable and you average piston car. Of course the story changes a bit when you start putting out big power. But like any other motor would, it will just wear quicker then normal. But nothing car beat the whale of a rotory at full song. BRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPP!!!
