Adding heated seats to Mazdaspeed3...

Is there anyway to add OEM heated seats to a Mazdaspeed3. I have a CDN spec MS3 and oddly enough no heated seats. I found an unknown connector under the center console and thought that maybe this was a connector for it. I heard that the car is already prewired for the seats and it's just a matter of plug and play. Is this true?

Also what is this connector?

I was wondering myself what that connector was. Since it was right under the center console, I thought it might be for the factory NAV, but I could be way off base. Canadian spec. We were not offered the option of GT or Sport. However we received LED lights, auto climate control, and HIDs. We are missing the heated seats, leather and nav options.

Hey, I'm pretty sure thats what the connector is. When I got my Speed3, the dealer offered to put in heated seats for me for an extra $200. Check with your dealer, they might be able to do the same.

You'd probably be better off going with an aftermarket seat heater (carbon fiber one). They run around $75/side, so you could save money and just do the driver's seat if you want. Plus you could get one that has two or three stage heating vs. the OEM on/off.

AFAIK the connector under the shifter is just for the NAV controls.

Heated seats are nice, but why didn't a fully loaded car like the GT come with heated side mirrors?

Does one of the base 3's come with heated seats? It may just share that connector with that. I've never seen an option or talk of heated seats for the MS3.

I have a 2008.5 MS3 and I was never told about heated mirros or heated seats. I can deal w/o the heated mirros, but damn it I want heated seats.

I could probably make enough stink about it at my dealer to get in installed for free. They are "Kentucky's #1 Mazda dealer" and will seemingly do anything to keep tha tittle. They've already shuttled me over to the mall while my car was in for routine service.

i think every dealer has a shuttle, the one in troy took me to the mall too haha..

and i have an 08 with heated mirrors and the option for heated seats but i declined becuase alcantara and heated seats dont mix in the long run

next to the passenger airbag light and the cigarette lighter 12v is the seats

and the mirror is in the blank spot next to the headlight adjustment/gauge brightness
