accidental 6 hatchback owner

I orginally was buying a mazda 3, but it came in three weeks early and I could not afford it at that point. so I was assured by my dealer I'd be able to find another one this week when I was ready.. well I went to my dealer this morning and apparently a lot has changed in three weeks. I'd have to wait up to four months for another one, though I put a deposit down in late february.

This does, however, not end all too badly. My salesman cut me a deal on a gorgeous lapis blue metallic 6 hatchback (5 speed, of course). It had everything in the 3 that I wanted, bose audio, moonroof, leather. He's giving it to me for slightly more than the 3 would have cost me. So in the end I got a badass mazda, even though the 3 isn't it. sad day, but it all ended ok!

i'm no medical expert or hang out with people who dream of harvard...but...I have a feeling you don't like your car too much....I went up for a 3 and ended up with a lapis blue 6...what are the odds? After 3 mins I forgot about the 3! Since then I love the car...and the intake...I just need a wing, rims and a wing and I could almost die happy. Cheer up the 6 is a great car....if it doesn't even grow on you a lil then I don't know what to say. don't regret it or it will be a burden till you take the hit for the smaller car...Usualy accidents hapen in the backseat...not the whole car itself (boom01)

I double posted to kinda introduce myself to the mazda 6 board, but meh, it wasn't really needed.. but anywho, I'm thrilled to be getting my 6 hatchback!! it's just such a neat car and it's practical!! that and there aren't any cars like it on the road.. they're rare.. so I'm unique..

I did the same thing as you guys. I put money down on a loaded 3 but had to wait, and before the car arrived I fell in love with the 6 hatch which was released while I was waiting. Cost me a pretty penny more than the 3 would have though, so I'm not sure how you got it for only "a little more" money. I paid about an extra $7,000 Canadian.

the 3 I wanted was like $23 the 6 was $21 + $2500 rebate....that rebate went toward negative equity of my neon . guess when there is a 03 on a lot in 04 they want it gone real fast to the point they changed the apraisal to full market value of the neon!

I got a 2,000 rebate on the 6.. 1500 from mazda and a 500 college student bonus. I also get s-plan pricing from work so I get dealer invoice on the car. I would have ended up paying 272 a month for my 3, and I'm paying 297 a month for my 6.. so it's just a little more.
