I cant seem to find this fang thing at any part store. I think I found one on eBay but wanted to make sure its the right one for the p5. Anyone have knowledge of this? Goes into top on the dryer

I'd grab one from a junkyard for a couple bucks. Takes two minutes to pull one and they don't fail very often.

Not even the Mazda IPL's show the switch individually, I would assume it comes with a new dryer, which is 70 bucks from Mazda. You'll want to replace that anyway if you open the system to the atmosphere.

I replaced the dryer when I got a new clutch put on the oymp. But used the same switch. The AC system works fine for s few min then the pump cuts off. Then cuts one for only a second. Then back off again for about 5 seconds. After it does that for a while then it goes back to working fine. I unplugged switch and had the AC guages hooked up and wired the ends together to keep contact. Guages got down to 40 and stayed constant. A friend sudjested the switch was bad. Had it at an AC shop twice and they checked it and said its charged properly and working properly. Well to me the quick on then Off with the pump isn't right. When it does that the quage was up to 60.

Low side should be down around 30-35psi if working well.

Do you not have a high side gauge? That's what you need to monitor if you suspect the high pressure switch is faulty

Guage was leaking. Will find new guage set today. And I can only find one switch ( ontop of dryer)

I have a dryer with switch, if interested. Not sure if there a difference in style. Pulled for my mp3 but the brackets where different and the switch was a bit bigger then what the mp3 had, can post pics. Let me know
