ABS and Loud noise

I have two issues....first I have noticed that when I get to 95mph or higher my abs light will come on and stay on but it will go out after I cycle the key once. Is this normal on the MSP's. Also, I know the rear sway bar bushings are noisy but I have a VERY loud squeak that you would swear the muffler is dragging but only when I am hauling two people in the back. Do you guys think this could still be the sway bar bushings just under a heavier load or is their other common noises from the rear?

well i checked it out myself, it has a code for a right front wheel speed sensor but what i dont understand is the fact that it only happens when i go 100mph.......o yea, i replaced my sway bar bushings, still go lots of squeaks?

do you have bigger rims and tires?

Yes, i have 215/35/18's but that shouldn't matter, as long as you have the same speed input on all the wheels. the abs module knows no difference in tire and wheel size as long as you dont have mis-matched sizes. (this is true to all GM ABS system and any other ABS system i have ever worked on, so unless Mazda does something differently in how they recieve the inputs from the wheels and how the module reads the input but i have no clue at this point.) I work on GM so i know al little about that but does anybody know if mazda does anything different? as far as i know...there is nothing that could change as far as how the system actually works.

how about you dont drive around at 100mph? : P i dunno seems fair to me, ya gotta be up at like 4.5k rpm by then anyway
as for the squeek it may be the sway bushings, or the rear arm bushings or it may be your struts under a heavier load....i know i should be saying mazda...but ford bushings suck (i see them all day). can you get it to squeek by bouncing it by hand outside of the car? my sways will do that.
p.s.-you like it so far?

The wheels shouldn't have anything to do with the ABS light coming on. I have 215/40/18's now and also had 35's before but never had any ABS light come on because of it. as long as all the tires are the same size it shouldn't matter.

Well its not like i drive 100mph all the time but when i first got the car i wanted to put it to the test to see what is made of, right.....im sure im not the only person who has had the MSP to 100mph. And in order to get the really loud squeak im talking about, you have to have people sitting in the rear and then bounce the car so you cant do it yourself. and to be honest, i have not checked things out to much yet cause its still under factory warrenty so why get dirty when i dont have too right? And yea so far i like it, i just need to do a few little things though, like get your stock muffler so i can get rid of my noisy one! until i get the money for a good aftermarket exhust.(im assuming you know who this is.)

thats what i think too.

maybe you have a really small crack in an abs ring or the sensor just cant compensate that fast. i dunno.
and i get my GHL next tuesday, hopefully will have it on by friday of that week and then you can get rid of your noisy one : )

dont worry man i drive mine around 100 all the time so its cool. it can handle it. they're made to be driven fast. and as for the abs light i have no idea but my emergency brake light comes on when i hit the brakes and stays on until i start to go again. so i kinda know what ypur going through. but if you want a really good sounding exhaust just go 3 inch straight pipe frome the cat back. thats what i did and it gives it the deep throaty sound oppose to the gay ass rice sound you get from a honda.

it governs at 135 so thats the fastest ive hade mine. speaking of anyone know how to kill the governer. im sick of staying ahead of people when i race them on the freeway only to have them pass me once i hit 135 cuz it wont go anywhere else

Well my axle boot was leaking a little bit on the wheel too, so im thinking maybe there was some grese on the sensor, like a film over the magnet part or something like that, im not too worried about it though. But yea, just have Alex tell me something when your done if you dont mind hookin me up with that muffler. If you want some money or something for it let me know, im not askin ya to give it up for free. Where are you guys gonna put your exhust on at?

yea make sure your fluid level is ok, i have seen that happen before. but i cant seem to picture a 3" stright pipe sounding good on a 4 cyl. Not calling you a liar or anything but i would have to see it...well....hear it to believe it.

its sick man. im gonna throw my test pipe on soon and see how it sounds if its to loud and bad sounding then ill throw on a muffler.

that can be arranged. ill have mine on next week and you can hear it, imo its by far the best sounding one for the car. Alex's is a 4 cylinder too haha.
Ill be putting the exhaust on my car at work, Rush Lincoln/Mercury just right down the road from your shop. i know these turbo bolts can be a PAIN. so, install might have to wait till a saturday. but yeah. we'll work out some kinda of money when the time comes, im not expecting much and ill do some research to try and find a fair price.
