? about forged internals

you're right......my garage is just a garage.....it's not 3,000sqft with a lift and all the goodies I could ever need, including a paint booth.....Maybe I should start calling it my PERFORMANCE shop instead of my GARAGE. I don't have a 63 cobra with 500whp on a small block....I don't have a 71 Mustang with the 429 that I completely rebuilt with my dad and makes over 400whp......I don't have a 67 Shelby GT500 that my dad and I restored and completely rebuilt the motor on. You're right, I have no experience building motors, I'm just a fool building my motor. Whatever.

What are you doing also to correct crankwalk and oil starvation?
I haven't decided yet, but when the time comes I may contact MAM and see if I can purchase the fix that he uses in his short blocks. I don't even have a block to build yet, getting a block is my first step.

If you have a shelby gt500, 63 shelby cobra and a 71 mustang 429 wtf are you doing driving a msp? You have a $120,000 shelby gt500, a 63 shellby cobra worth $170,000 and a 71 mustang with a 429 that's worth 45,000 and you are driving a msp. You are more of an idiot than I thought. I call BULL s*** on that one. I have 2 ferrari's and a viper out in the garage too, but I drive the msp because it kicks ass and is so much nicer.

BTW all the prices were pulled from nada classic average retail. Prices are much higher for high retail.

Guys, let's drop the personal attacks. Keep this on topic or it's going into the dumpster.

whatever, think what you want.....I will take pictures while I'm home over Thanksgiving if you would like. I drive an MSP because I paid for it with my own money, and I am still paying for it. My father paid for all those cars and I rebuilt them, it was a way for my father and I to get closer when I was growing up. GT500 was a basket case when we bought it, did a ground up resto on it.......Cobra is a replica that we built and did the motor on.........and the 71 was a piece that we restored and built the motor up. I don't know what they'd sell for because I will never sell them, I do know how much time has gone into these cars. We also bought a 68 GT500 convertible for 15,000 but it was in pieces when we bought it......that one will be a few years getting back together. We bought it 4 years ago and have made little progress on it, damn college sucks. I will graduate in December and be back close to home so I can work on it and try to get it finished in the next couple of years depending on my work schedule and how much time I can devote to it.

Whatever. All I was trying to do was tell the threadstarter the proper way to do the motor build and I get attacked for paying too much. NBD I'll take my opinions elsewhere.

Where's the LOVE!?! (dunno) (enguard) (dunno)

Hey I live South of Cleburne Texas maybe I could come down when you get back and check those cars out hmm? :)

Heck guys I just wish I could put a dang exhaust on my car right now.
