A quiet performance exhaust

I know...A quiet performance exhaust...an oxymoron if you've ever heard one.

But really, that's what I'm looking for if the solution exists. Of all the bolt-on systems, the Vibrant seems to be the quietest one. But it's still louder than stock with the silencer so that's not good enough.

What options do I have?!

Would I fair better with a custom job of some sort?

Greatly appreciated for your input.

i personally installed a Bosal on an MSP and it was very mellow

before i got my downpipe, my catback setup with a 5zigen fireball was pretty quiet, though it was louder than stock.

IMO the vibrant is the same as stock under normal driving conditions, full throttle is the only time it seems a little louder to me. (w/ silencer on)

That sounds kinda ideal actually. It's only loud when you floor it. I do hear that the Vibrant is louder on the highway though. Is this true?!
This would be annoying to me since I'm on the highway alot.
At what speed does it drones too?

did you check out the "Mega Aftermarket Exhaust Thread" or some sort like that?

Lots of sound clips of almost every exhaust possibility for the MSP. Listen to sound clips, watch videos, and you can get a better idea as to what each exhaust sounds like.

I have a corksport exhaust with the stock muffler. It is not nearly as loud as it was with the corksport muffler but a little louder than stock. It is also cheaper than many other aftermarket exhausts as well. On a side note the silencer that you can purchase with the exhaust works okay but I had some rattling issues. To say the least I kept the cs muffler on for two weeks max and then swapped and have been happy ever since.

Is the silencer an easy install / removal? Thanks.
If I would like to improve on the Vibrant system, what could I do I wonder?
1. new muffler (that Racing Dimension unit should be pretty quiet )
2. additional resonator pipe
Any comments on this?
And if I'm gonna do this, I might as well go for a custom job instead?

I think most mufflers have a sort of break-in period, where the sound changes after a while. Or maybe that's the cats.
