A picture of your garage

Man Donas, I love that style house! They use to build homes like that here back in the 40s-to late 70s where they had porches in the front but when they started building on slabs they did away with the front porch. God I wish mine had one. I take it your house has hardwood floors too.

Not quite a garage yet but I'm hoping to fix up my shed and get it all cleaned up so have a place to keep at least one of our Proteges cozy.

Nice!(thumb) Did you do it yourself, or pay to have it done? How much did it run you if you don't mind me asking?

My garage, taken about a year ago, before we sold off the LX:

I love the extra space around the sides, and especially the 12'X22' shop behind it! I'm going to miss this house.

Thanks mang! Yup, you're right on the wood floors. Its an old house built in 1937. 1600 sq. ft. , 3 bedrooms, semi-finished basement. But despite its age, its in incredible shape. My wife and I have not had to do any major repairs at all. Even to the roof which we were sure would leak. Nothing. We still want to get a new roof though just so it looks nicer. My wife and I got it just a few weeks before we got married. Prior to that I lived in a 1 bedroom apt and she lived in a 2 bedroom with a room-mate. Nice quiet neighbor hood, great neighbors.

We saw it and fell it love, its old but sturdy, its got tons of character, its unique to look at and it was cheap too. During the summer time, we sit and watch fireworks from the baseball stadium. Its quite relaxing. I'm trying to clear out the shed and convert it into a garage but my friends keep storing stuff in it.

The only downsides to it being so old: Central heat but no central Air (window units which aren't bad). Thats about it.

WTF you moving / selling??

In about 8-10 months, max. UGA is a big law school in a small town. Dru's going to have to leave to get a job, and I guess I should go with her!

She graduates in May, then it's studying for the bar while I do my last couple of classes over the summer. I should graduate in August, and then we'll go wherever we've found jobs, or at least wherever she's found a job. We could end up in Atlanta, but right now we're leaning toward going back to DC/VA.

my dad is an accountant for a local paint co and its a new product they wanted to test out so i got it done for free :)

I'm a big fan of these sort of threads (thumb)

You guys are lucky...I'm lucky enough to have sheltered parking for a reasonable price let alone my own garage!!!...Well, I hope someday...Here is the Cosmo's current crib...It sucks not having anywhere to put tools, parts and Mazda related posters all over the walls...plus it's damn cold out there!

Luckily only the left parking spot is taken which provides me with some space to do minor work on the car.

So, I pretty much got fed up with working on stuff sitting on the ground. Scott (Velocifero), had recently built a work shop / workbench @ his house, so I enlisted his help. And by help, I mean he designed and virtually built the whole thing and I helped. The thing is seriously solid. It'll easily hold up an engine. Essentially I got a workbench that would have cost close to a grand for a top shelf place for less than $150 + food and beverages ;). It's just shy of 9.5' long, 3' deep, and 3.5' tall, with a lower shelf of the same size. The work bench surface is sanded 3/4" Ply, and is screwed on 2 sides to the concrete wall behind it. The pics show pretty well the design of the beast. Thanks a bunch dude!

we just moved in, so still messy as hell

this is my home garage. this one is a 2-car and the other is 30'x40'. (pics up of the big one later)

I have to start reorganizing the entire garage.... new workbench + cabinets.

Hopefully I'll have enough room to bring my 240sx home (away from storage at the lakehouse).
