I'm heading down the 101 westbound at about 11:00PM. there are two black RSXs in the 2 left lanes driving side by side. one of them still has the temporary license plate on it. i pull up in the right most lane. we all take off.

i down shift to third and we all stay together. after we hit about 100 or so the rsx with the temp plate and i pull away and the other rsx falls off. we keep going. i switch into the center lane next to him. we reach 120 or so and my car "shuts off" or whatever and he almost simotaneously lets off the gas. then sirens and light go off from behind us.

the cop is 2 or 3 cars behind. we both slow to about 75 or so and he switches to my lane (center) right behind me. the cop is still trailing a bit. the rsx merges to the right lane as do i. we keep going for what seems like forever, but im sure it was only like 30 seconds or so. the cop is flashing the spotlight at my car. finally the rsx pulls into the median and the cop follows still flashing his spotlight at me. i take off. :x

as soon as i am over this hill and out of the cops sight i accelerate up to about 90 or so and exit onto the 51 onramp. from there i take the first exit onto surface streets. i am sure he called over radio for someone to pull me over. anywho. i take the surface streets to my moms which is about 10 minutes from there. i SWEAR there were cops everywhere. at one point i was stopped at a stoplight with a cop behind me. i get to my moms and tell her about the craziness that occured.

i wait there for about 20 minutes trying to gather myself and stop shaking. then i head home, promising myself to abide by all traffic laws and be extra cautious. my house is about 15 minutes from my moms. i again take the surface streets. im driving carefully and slooooooow. i make a right turn at a light and then i notice a motorcycle behind me. at this point i dont know that its a cop. i drive down the road a bit and then he flashes his lights at me. i pull over.

i figure im screwed. he walks up to my car. and asks for license and insurance. i am shaking so badly i can barely get my license outta my wallet; i manage. he asks me where i am headed. "home, sir." he then asks where i am coming from. "from my mom's house, sir." next he asks if i've been drinking. "no, sir." and then he asks if i know why he pulled me over. "no, sir." he says, "you fail to stop..." right at that minute my heart sinks to my stomach. he continues, "...completely before making a right hand turn at that stop light." WHEW! i respond, "it was a careless mistake, sir."

just when i think its over, a highway patrol car pulls up! the two cops are talking back at the car. they both proceed to walk up to my car. "Have a good night, michael. drive carefully."

o m g. that was so intense. i kinda feel bad for the RSX guy. he just bought the car and all...

well, that was my night.

thats intense I know i had a smaler incadent with a prelude and my old MX-6 we had just started to back off after a 100mph jaunt threw 59 in Stow on crusier tried to pull us over I stoped he told me to wait while he got the other car, I booked as soon as he got about 1/2 mile away I made back to kent and did not go back to stow for about two weeks. Battleing on the streets is to risky so i stick to the tracks now

Maybe if you didn't speed, you wouldn't have encountered as many cops.

Sorry to sound like an "adult" here, but speeding is stupid.

You told you mom? And she didn't beat the s*** out of you? What kind of parent is that? It works like this: you dont tell her, she uses her 6th mom sense, beats the **** out of you, you never do it again. None of this "i told my mom" bulls***. get the **** out.

i'm sure it's a lesson learned and a lesson not to be forgotten. next time you may not be so lucky, nor the innocent person next to you. accidents happen and lives can be changed in the blink of a eye. and at those speeds, it's out of your control............................peace

nothing like doing something completly stupid, telling your mom u did something so stupid and then tell the whole internet you did something stupid, i hope next time u get caught so they can yank your liscence and u can ride a bicycle from now on.

...cause no one here has ever done anything similar...

i'm not saying that justifies what i did, but telling me i'm stupid isnt going to change anything either. it's not like i race around all day. it was 11:00 at night on the freeway.

I love how all the jesus freaks come on here trying to sound like they never speed or violate any law, bugger off you asstards, I'm sure none of you EVER go over the speed limit. The dumbass will get caught sooner or later.

And Rum, I hope you ******* die, don't ******* do 120 on public roads. If you had lied and said you took it up to 100, then you wouldn't be getting flamed like the tard you are.

I said speeding was stupid, but I didn't say you were...I do think your actions were on the side of stupidity.

You're lucky that nothing happened to you or anyone else in terms of great harm.

I can honestly say I've never street raced. I've kept it strictly to autocrossing in a SAFE CONTROLLED environment. You didn't.

Sure, it was late at night as you claim, but that dosen't matter what time of day you race. If you hit someone at that hour, I bet you wouldn't be saying the same thing.

I really hate people who think because of a certain time of day, it makes things better. I don't agree, but I do have a bridge I'll sell you.

How old are you anyhow? 18? 19? 21?

Im sorry to sound like an adult here who's coming down hard on you, but I have NO sympathy for you or however many cops "hassled" you either.

i'm 20..

also i did not ask for sympathy. i was merely sharing a night involving my car. it's not as if i am boasting about what i did or am even remotely proud of it.

I could've sworn the 3 was limited to 118 anyways ...

But 120 ... at night ... and then running from the cops.

I'd at least wait for daytime, you know, in case an animal was to run onto the road.

I am not going to get on you too much, I've taken my car up past 100 a few times, but never while racing. I've been in a car doing 120+ before on the interstate.

The racing bit was stupid. I hate to say, but that part of it was. And you are just going to have to accept that you /will/ get flamed for it. There are other forums out there that won't even let you speak of street racing, because of legality issues.

Be glad you're safe, be glad you didn't get your license revoked (Isn't running from the police a felony?) and if it happens again ... don't go posting it here unless you want to invite the negative comments.

However ... keep the flaming down to "acceptable" is possible ... I think rum gets the point.

Yeah... I think that's enough on this one.

If anybody has any objections, PM me.
