Personally, do you think the war was worth fighting? I mean it doesnt really seem like its close to being over, more solders have died since "major combat" has ended then during "major combat"
I mean no disrespect to the people in the military. I just dont totally trust the govt. thats all :/

it was worth it if you were there to see the iraqi people...you can only understand if you saw how happy saddam was gone in person...not to undermine your thoughts, just saying that its something you have to witness for yourself...

Hey razor tell me where you live so I can come shine your boots, mow your lawn, wipe your ass do whatever you need.

Hell it's guy like you that let me be able to type on this message board. Every american is in your debt, even if they don't agree with the war. Bless you and all your crew. I will never ever turn my back on a soldier. There's just not enough words to express the gratitude, just...thanks.

Oh yeah and those pictures are great. Post all you can. I'm glad you're safe at home with that little lady in your sig. And I'll never complain about the Houston heat again, even if the a/c goes out!! :D

i cant believe you guys...normally i have so much to say, but when you guys speak in this thread, i have no words...it was just meant to share some of my experiences, but it turns out you guys thank me every time i turn around....on behalf of myself and the memories of:

Spc. Donald Samuel Oaks, Jr., 20, Harborcreek, Pennsylvania.
Killed in action in Iraq. Assigned to C Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment (Multiple Launch Rocket System). Died on April 3, 2003.

Sgt. 1st Class Randall S. Rehn, 36, Lawton, Oklahoma.
Killed in action in Iraq. Assigned to C Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment (Multiple Launch Rocket System). Died on April 3, 2003.

Sgt. Todd James Robbins, 33, of Pentwater, Michigan.
Killed in action in Iraq. He was assigned to C Battery, 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery Regiment (Multiple Launch Rocket System). Died on April 3, 2003.

those brave soldiers headquarters bn is within a stones throw of where i stand every morning at 0845.

and to these guys, who made the sacrafice (also from Ft. Sill, OK) in a location i had visited just days before and the days after...well, SFC Philippe was kia after we left, but you understand...

Spc. Jose A. Perez III, 22, of San Diego, Texas.
Perez was in a convoy that was ambushed in Taji, Iraq. He was assigned to 6th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment. Died on May 28, 2003.

Sgt. 1st Class Gladimir Philippe, 37, of Linden, New Jersey.
Philippe and Pfc. Kevin C. Ott failed to respond to a radio check South of Balad, Iraq on June 25. The soldiers' remains were located on June 28 in Taji, Iraq. Both soldiers are assigned to Battery B, 3rd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery Regiment.

When youre in that situation, you get briefed every night on recent casulties. And if you have ever heard of survior's guilt, like from a plane crash, you know how it feels to wonder why their convoy was attacked, and not yours. Attached is the picture of Taji airfield where we stayed several nights before SPC Perez was KIA...were in a box formation because there were 2000lb live bombs possibly going off in the area, and we slept in the middle to use the vehicles of a shield since we were in the blast radius.
