omg .. so much anger. Too bad only one person got the joke, it wasn't meant as any kind of attack.

With all you soldiers running around with cameras I wonder why they needed embedded journalists? You should hook up with the AP and make some cash on the side. That's not really sarcastic as they are some good photos. I'm kind of surprised you were allowed to take them and post them on a public forum.

these arent sensitive photos :) notice none of them are "action" shots...trust me the cameras only came out when we had time, never during any fights or anything...youd have to be crazy

Razor I salute you man! When you get to Bragg gimme a call!!!
Im sure we can have more than a couple of beers!

what unit were you with?

when I went to Basic at Ft. Sill, I was with B 1/33 FA, which became 1/87 FA.

I almost went over the pond too...but for work. I would have supported all of the digitized units...I could tell you guys weren't digitized because your HMMWV's didn't have our satellite transceivers mounted...and your HMMWV's only had a couple of SINCGARS antennas...did your HEMTT have anything like a computer with a screen on it?

Cool shots man. I got some pretty cool pics of where I'm deployed at Diego Garcia, but they are just of a tropical island. After all your "GI JOE" pics, mine will look like a 90-day vacation compared to yours. I guess that's why I'm glad I joined the Air Force...lol.

Glad to see you made it back home okay and I wish ya the best bro.

razor ur one brave person one of my close friends was in national gaurd and was || that close of gettin sent over but he got out of it cause of medical problems so they relocated him. but still Razor U cool :)

Wow, that was so original man..did you really have to throw that in there? You sound like a typical ignorant dumbass who thinks because he watches the nightly news and reads some conspiracy theories in the papers, that gives you the right to mouth off about things you know nothing about. Go spew off your anti-American bull s*** somewhere else.

 I forgot that disagreeing with a war was anti-American, and we should be banished from this country. Its weird, because most support on the war was built from people watching the president and the nightly news on television.

Anyhow, while I disagreed with the reason for the war, I agree Saddam was a horrible person. Somebody had to do it. Everytime I see pictures (yours, and my FRIENDS) its just weird to see it coming from somewhere else but the media. Your pictures add a much more personal touch to the situation, and not just some magical place the media portrays.

Nice shots, and welcome home!

Chris

Cool pics! everyone in the office here liked them. POst more! Post a lot more! This is stuff that most of us will never get to see in our lifetimes!

Oh, and I've got the cash if you can get me that MP5. :) Kidding.

Razor, you kick so much ass.... for real.

Thanks for fighting to protect the freedom that my family and friends experience everyday! Growing up in the army until my dad retired when I was 13, I never knew there were people who didn't support the armed forces 100%. Even though there are s***-bags out there that don't give a ****, there are even more of us that do care about you guys/gals... You rock man.

I did my 4 years with the National Guard as an M.P., although the majority of it was served while I was still in college. Not very tough duty...

Looking at your sig., I see you have plenty to be fighting for! :-)

Thanks dude!

Razor, you are the man.. the pics are awesome and I salute you for your efforts and everything you did personally in addition to everything everyone did.

Thanks yet again everyone!

did your HEMTT have anything like a computer with a screen on it?

Yea we got MTS systems (see the picture below in the background)...they sucked for us for the most part...two in my platoon worked, mine included...it did help us on one occasion where our LT got us lost...but as for being in and around the cities, 5 minutes is too long to update...

lets see what we have today...

60 minutes came to interview us while we were uploading ammo, and asked us if we thought it was safe...we told them yes we did because we didnt want our families back home to know we could die at any time if something blew up if they saw the interview, and then the next day one of our trucks blew up

you know whats funny that my friends and i were discussing today? did you know that in kuwait the country is so rich that the natural citizens dont work, they just get paid 8k dollars/month to live there? and although both places suck, kuwait has nice highways and whatnot...you will see more mercedes there than in germany!

Yea we got MTS systems (see the picture below in the background)...they sucked for us for the most part...

MTS is a decent system for general Situational Awareness...that's about it though - it's not good for messaging or for instantaneous updates. we monitored everything that happened there in the safety of our lab here - the beauty of satellite communications.

in terms of the 5 minute update...were your PLGR's turned on?

we found that a lot of soldiers didn't turn their PLGR's on when their MTS was up...so the updates sucked...

...but what do you expect?

HOOOAH (or for the FA guys - WHOOSHAH)
