A different hesitation...

My spicy is normally sitting in my garage but I decided to take it out for a spin to the gym tonight. Pulled on to the street and drove about a 1/2 mile and all of the sudden a cop is tailing me. I'm like WTF? I drove the speed limit and didn't break any rules but this cop is hugging my bumper big time. The whole time I'm trying to keep the vented type S in check and the GHL as quiet as I can. Dude stays on me for several blocks and eventually ends up pulling next to me and stares me down a little. I let him get some length on me and I turn into the 24 hr gym parking lot. We'll lets just say Ive been very good on the streets for the past several years and I don't screw around like I used to so I'm pretty legit except for all the non carb approved parts that California is so against. I guess I'm more afraid to get my hood popped than I am of getting a moving violation. Now I hesitate to do any exterior mods to my car such as rims/lowering/tint and whatnot's that help get a cop to notice you but a spicy orange msp isn't exactly a blend in the crowd kind of car. I feel like the cops think that I'm the freakin leader of the street racing underground when they see me rolling.....uhh...they hating, trying to catch me riding dirty. lol sorry couldn't help it. Anyone else getting unwanted attention from the cops?

I hear you, I hate the attention I get from cops. Why the hell do they just follow so close just cause it's an orange car. Do they think I'll get scared and run or are they really that blind and trying to read the plate? I have everything you say you avoiding so I feel just a bit worse. They shuld go catch some thieves instead of tailing us..

over here they look at you with big eyes but dont do much... unless you pass on a specific boulevard at specific hours.. from 9 pm to 3 am on thrusdays through saturdays.. that where all the honda nitwits with cans and spoilers drag in the street.. it has become such a plaque that a friend of mine with a mid 90's mx6 with a loud(er) exaust has been find 150$ just becuase he loked like trouble for races and a loud exaust

the pigs use cavaliers and try to drag you.. if you byte the bait, they get you..

so passing there with my msp will draw attention from cops and streetracers with cars twice as loud as mine and twices as slower as mine too..

same goes for my sportbike.. it's dangerous to pass there.. they look at the exaust and see it's not stock.. they dont like it.

I got pulled over in my damn driveway by a city cop. Did nothing wrong. Don't think he was expecting a 30 year old loser to be behind the wheel. When he came to the car (in my driveway) I gave him my info. Never told me why he lite me up. So I continued to pull into my garage. He was furious! Got out of my car closed the garage door and he went on about how thats how people get shot. I said, please get off my property. He hands me a loud exhaust ticket and leaves. I also told him to be carfeul when backing out not to run over my lawn. Asshole.

I think a lot of it depends on where you live. When I was up at Penn State (in the middle of the mountains), I was constantly eyeballed and pulled over for no particular reason. And I'm a Titanium! I can't even imagine how annoying it'd be if I was a Spicy.

But now that I'm back in Philly .. the cops around here have other things to worry about.

yeah spicy and yellow ( like mine) are attract ALOT of attention from cops.. not mto mention from other drivers too.. specially the wanna be street racers...

Whats sucks is that I really want a carbon hood and trunk with some black wheels and a little more lowering and then I'll probably be done with the exterior but I already know that its gonna look like show car with all the contrast. I guess for me the more my car starts looking like it belongs on Speedvision, the more I'm going to hide it in my garage. I'm also looking to buy a car trailer so I can haul it behind my 4runner. Then the cops cant do s***!

ahh, i wouldnt worry about it so much. . . in all honesty, what can they really do? "i'm writing you a ticket because. . . your car. . . looks. . . too good. . . . . . " I mean, I can see if youre worried about the CARB regulations and stuff but if youre going the speed limit, I really dont think it matters HOW nice / rice your car looks. But then again, I live in FL and they dont check emissions here. . .

lol here in ky if they rev on you first its a no go b/c they started it so they cant give you a ticket but if you rev on them they can get ya.

Ive been pulled over twice in mine (blue).. And whats funny is I got pulled over in the exact same spot both times.. First time I was let go, 2nd (last night) I was given a ticket for no tag, lol.. Drive out has been expired since march 16th.. lol Oh well, I gotta get tags now anyways..

Isn't that called entrapment? Not that I condone prostitution, but it's the same principle and completely without merit in my humble opinion, when they set people up.

I wonder what the writer's of the constitution would think about something like that. The "protectors of the law" coercing citizens into breaking the law, just so they can "keep the streets safe". It seems that justice, in this country, is not only blind but has no common sense.

I have much respect for police, but when they begin to antagonize others to break the law then they should be held accountable as well.

yer right but they use methods to make money and catch the streetracers.. im not for the money making methods but im for the trying to stop street racing because of the lelvel it has reached here...kids drag in traffic at 9 PM in front of the mall and they cut off anyone.. it,s pretty dangerous .. on my zx9 sportbike i almost got run over and cut a few times by them.. some with very fast stangs and srt4s have the idea to race me.. i've done it a few times with no other cars around just to pop there bubble and wake them from their dreams.. to see the face of a guy who thinks hes got me and i pass him with the front wheel up while hes at WOT is priceless..

anways the thing is im for street racing when no socccers moms are not around .. or old people.. our families going out of the mall... that why the cops use methods and cars that you wouldnt even doubt a millisecond it would be a pig car..

everything needs balance.. too much is like not enough...

lol around here i mean kids got there lil honda civics with the kits falling off and the ky famous bondo paint job but we still only get a lil ticket if we get caught racing. i had a friend that raced got caught ran away the cop showed up at his house and he still got out of it.

i got kinda lucky one nite i was cruising to appleton from home- like 30 miles- way late at night like 3am cuz i had to pick up my uncle and aunt and my mom from the hospital cuz my uncle got hit by a drunk driver ( whie he was crossing the street )

i was doing like 85 on the highway the whole way there -no cops
doing like 40 in a 25 through downtown, passed 4 cops and they didnt do s***!

the only reason i was goin fast is cuz i didnt know how banged up my uncle was but damn why is it when you have a ligit reason to go fast nothing happens and when you do it on accident you get cought? hahaha wtf?
