A Challenge 4 the Mazda stereo Genius'

Hi I bought a 2004 Mazda 6 S for my daughter. It had a metra kit in it and the Climate display would not work and I couldn't stand that the Flasher button and the A/C buttons just sucked. BTW it has Auto Climate. So I bought a New Radio with the dash panel and controls for a 2006-2008 the guy selling it said it would work but would need some wiring changes. Well when I got it I soon learned that the Dash display works Totally different.

The old display seems to use 3 or 4 channels from the DASH panel directly to the display unit.
The new display uses a CAN communication bus wired directly to the Radio Main Connector (22 pin I think) This is the same connector on both radios!!!

So my question is if I can wire the display into the radio connector Is this going to work completely, partially or not at all?
I think the new radio is Non-Bose so I would have to deal with that aspect of the installation also.

BTW the radio was wired into the bose Amp from the speaker outs and it seemed to work ok.

Well I should add that I did by a junkie radio from a 2003 and it is working, as original except for the CD changer which wont eject or accept a CD. I looks like the is a metal swing up gate that is blocking the slot. After about an hour of stripping the radio I was able to get a couple of CDs out but I think there is still at least one in there.

Can I use the single CD from the newer radio or from a Non-Bose radio on this one?

Thanks hope someone out there is up to the challenge,
PS My daughter would also like to add an AUX or IPOD just any suggestions?

Also this car is awesome. I got ripped by the dealer but love the Car. Had to change the flywheel 1 week after buying the car.
