A/C Warranty?

I was talking to my dealership service guy about warranty items to address at the next service, w/ quality/charge of Air Conditioning system being one of them as it has never worked great - of course I'm assuming it is part of the 2006 4/50,000mi b-to-b warranty. My service guy says the A/C falls under a 12/12,000mi warranty (and of course we have 13,000mi). Huh? Can anyone verify this one or speak on it from experience or firsthand knowledge? I thought bumper to bumper meant just that - short of typical wear items like wiper blades, oil changes, tires, brakes, etc. ????

Has anyone actually undergone an A/C refrigerant recharge or other A/C service with any success or improvement, or are we just stuck with an undersized A/C from the 3?
