a/c trouble

My wife bought this off the show room floor. I was against it but who am I? lol.... Anyway, besides minor things like shakey steering etc. the cars pretty nice. But today I took it to home depot, and the a/c isnt working. Fan runs fine but compressor isnt coming on. Im a certified hvac service tech. But I would never even dream about the nightmare of servicing an auto a/c. So my first question is: Wheres the fuse panel.. for the a/c? and second, where are the gauge ports for the 08 mazda 6 a/c refrigerant valves?

OK. checked all fuses and relays. All are good. Infact compressor is even comin on. Should I just get the 134a can from store and give it some juice to see if thats the problem? As ac is running, high side line isnt warm and suction line isnt cold at all. In regular ac units suction line should be cold, not sure with auto though. I see 34 views on this but no replies? am I alone on this one?

I personally wouldn't mess with it since the car has a warranty. I'm sure you know what can happen if you manage to over pressurize the system. Just take it to the dealer and they should get you squared away.

that's why you have a warranty. Don't mess with it

I have to say I agree with these guys. There also may be an underlying reason it isn't working that you just haven't thought to check yet. Make the Mazda guys figure it out. That's the benefit of paying such a premium for a new car; the warranty.

+1. Take it to the dealer. If you screw with it and mess things up you stand a chance of losing your warranty for the a/c.
