a/c squeeling

any one know of a dummy pulley i can replace the squeeling a/c compressor with???

i found one for 2nd gen protege's but nothing for 3rd gens.

can i use the 2nd gen one? thank you

do you want ac? if you don't take te compressor out, and get a belt for a non ac protege.. SIMPLE!

I agree with boostdprotegelx. You can get a belt for a non-AC Protege. Me, I live in Phoenix and NEED my AC.

read dude. get a new ac compressor. and get it evacuated and recharged. or disable the ac.

meh.. i doubt there's a how to on that.. but it's really not hard to pull the compressor off.. the whole thing is, with freon- it's deadly. so you have to pull a line and then run and stay away for a while(which is also illegal)..unless you have a shop do it..($$$) but once that's done, you're golden.. it's easy to pull the compressor.

mine did this and it was just a loose alternator screw, and also changed the belt, it fixed it

How are you sure it is not just a loose/glazed belt?
