94 Protege No Spark Weird Problem

I'm new to fixing cars so if this is a simple fix please I ask that you abstain from makin me feel like an idiot. But anyways. I have a 94 protege dx and it died on me and i didscovered it had no spark. we pulled out a multimeter and came to the conclusion that there is voltage going from the coil to the distributor cap and nothing is coming back out. I have replaced the cap the rotor and the wires and spark plugs. any ideas??

It sounds like the crank shaft sensor that's inside the distributor. Check for code #2. (Open the diagnostics box behind the battery and short TEN and GRND, turn key to "ON" and it'll blink the number with the CEL).

If it is #2, get a new distributor from a junkyard or off a WTB section somewhere.

I tried TWO remann'd Cardone distributors and they both failed. The $35 junkyard one worked like a charm though.
