It's commonly known the F2 engine was used not only in my B2200 pickup, but also in some Mazda 626, MX6, and Ford Probe cars. The trucks used the 8 valve head, and the cars used the 12 valve head.
From what I read the car head is open chamber, and the truck head is closed chamber. To keep the compression the same with open chamber the car piston reportedly has a shallower dish. This means the car piston installed in the truck engine would yield a higher compression ratio when used with the closed chamber head.
My question is this ... "Can I use 626 pistons in my B2200 without valve interference problems?"
If so, I'll order an engine overhaul kit for the 626 when I rebuild my truck engine.
I'll appreciate your input.
