5th gear grind above 50mph

Hello I just bought a brand new 2010 Mazda5 with manual transmission and here's my problem:

when I'm above 50 mph, and i don't shift into 5th gear fast enough, i hear a loud grinding noise like if i wasn't pushing the clutch all the way. The grind happen AS I AM SHIFTING, when the clutch is still pressed to the floor.
Another scenario would be that I'm putting it back to neutral on a downhill to let it coast, then I'm putting the 5th gear.
This doesn't happen below 50 mph.

thank you for your ideas. I brought it to the mazda dealer and he seems to be saying that I'm driving it improperly (I've been raised driving manual in Europe so I don't think so). 2 technicians took it (without me) on road tests and couldn't replicate it. They even had me test drive a mazda3 (same transmission - they have no other manual mazda5 on hand) but the transmission didn't do it.

do my car have a problem or not ? the service manager tries to tell me that I'm the problem, but to me the transmission should never ever grind when you shift while pressing the clutch all the way.

Yes it is a problem. If everything is how you say. If you are sure that your foot is all the way to the floor and it is still grinding then take it back in. Have a tech ride with you and show them. Then see if it does it with them driving. If not then find out what you are doing wrong. If you can even try another 5.

Keep an open mind, stay cool, and be polite. Usually that will get you a long way. You can always get nasty later but if you come in rudely they are less likely to listen to you. Just keep your points simple and factual. Don't let them distract you.
