50K miles maintenance on 2008 Speed3

The handbook that came with my Mazdaspeed 3 has no recommended intervals for such things as transmission fluid.

I have 45k on the odometer.

I do the oil and filter change, synthetic oil, just shy of every 5k miles.

I replaced the air engine filter at 20k and again at 32k. I'll do that again, soon.

The cabin air filter was done at 25k.

Also flushed the brakes at 25k

Power steering flush at 36k, because the mechanic said the fluid looked dirty.

I was thinking perhaps it's time to a transmission fluid flush?

Would you agree and anything else you might recommend changing or paying special to at this point? 4+ years/45k,

Fuel filter in this car, if I understand it correctly, is built into the fuel pump, and there is no requirement/way to replace it w/o replacing the entire fuel pump. Weird, that.

I'd be interested in whether there is any other maintenance I should schedule for tomorrow's visit.

Many thanks.

The "fluid looks dirty" is a common ploy to get money from you. My dealer tried that one with me during a wiper motor recall. The manual specifically says it isn't necessary to change it. Are you perhaps visiting the dealer? You might want to read through the O/M. Pretty sure there is no "flush" for the tranny fluid. A drain and replace, maybe.

No need to really flush the tranny. I have my tranny oil changed every 15-20k. I'm at 83k now everything still good.

damn every 15-20k, that's a little excessive unless you track/auto-x the car. every 30k is good. I just replaced mine at 63k with Motocraft liquid honey and the car shifts much better.

Ya 30k for normal driving. Also depends on what oil you use. If you change it yourself it's cheaper than a synthetic oil change. And I'm talking about MT90. Better early than late.

Some other things, Throttlebody fuel injector is a common maintanence at this point. And last but not least, coolant flush
