505's Clocked 28RS + MSP WGA (redeux)

Rich now that I see your pics. This isn't a MAM mani is it. Does this Mani locate the turbo in the same spot or does it shift it over a bit like the MAM kit did. If so I can see how you were able to work a 3" DP in there. If the Turbo is in the stock location, how the hell did that 3" dp fit???

There are only a hand full of guys running he GT28RS on stock internals, and the once that are seem to be running decent boost without any issues....That s*** scares me but seeing this build with stock internals gives me more confidence. HHHMMM maybe I'll wait till spring to up the boost to 6-7 PSI

that's the secret! i think it is a MAM mani.
and all this ado about 28RS with stock internals... kinda makes me want it... im not planning on going forged...

100-150 OVER the GHL? eek... suddenly i lost a lot of interest. all i can find for a price on the GHL is 675, and theres no way id pay 800 bucks for an s/j pipe no matter how awesome.
by the way update your build thread sometime. its well put together and i think is the only one which still has stock internals. its in my bookmarks haha

GHL was 425-450 back when this downpipe would have been available to purchase.

Planning on a update in that thread here for the new year.

Dood!! looking awesome richman! I see what you meant about the downpipe. I'm sooo psyched to see dyno numbers and you weren't kidding about the insane sound the intake mani makes too..haha. "Whooosh

Thanks bro. :)

What is the size of piping/tubing did you use for the manifold and what size plate did you use for the block flange. did you use 304 or 304L? Piping or Tubing? Seamless or welded? Is it Chinese?

It has been about 5 years, but if I remember correctly, the runners on mine were something like 1 and 11/16", pipe. 304, welded. Flange was 5/8" mild steel decked down to 1/2". American built in AZ.

Mine was the second MAM mani produced. Turbo location is identical to stock. The downpipe barely clears the A/C... And I do mean BARELY. Beau had to dent the pipe a little right there to make it fully clear. I remember he put a severe backcut on a prebent piece of tubing, and that got welded to the flange to make the first bend downward. The bottom of the pipe is notched out to allow access to the bottom nut. That was about it as far as tricks go.

Now you're talkin. :)

Forgot to add this earlier. Little soundclip of the setup, running 10 spike - 8.5 hold.
