3rd gear is a b*&$ when it's cold ...

Hi guys,


I don't know what's going on but when it's cold, but 3rd gear always try to mess with me (deadhorse . Sometimes it just stop before the gear is fully engaged, sometimes it engaged the gear very slowly and I need to keep my footh on the clutch for like 5 seconds :S WTF ?

I have Redline MT-90 tranny fluid
kartboy bushings

my car has 66 000km and it's a 2003


I tried 2 times to get a new synchro for my 3rd gear but the guy said it was fine because it doesn't grind ... so the synchro is ok .. but if the synchro is ok .. wtf is going on ? I'm like very tired (bang)

My second gear seems to hesitate before going into gear. I have to like hold pressure on it then it finally goes in after a second or two. Really annoying. Of course it got worse when I put a short shifter on.

yeah... 1-2 is bad... reverse is a beeyotch sometimes.

yup, almost gotta roll it sometimes to get rev. to go in, sometimes going into 4th works, but if ur on a hill good luck lol. My buddies tc is so smooth through the gears... (boom07)

yeah same thing here ... seem to get worse with a short shifter :S

I have the same problem here. -25deg. C. weather is bad for a tranny !

i have the same problem with my speed for third...except their is a slight grind depending on the rpms....otherwise it is great....

Heres a tip, if reverse doesn't engage immediately, try putting your shifter in 2nd then put it back into reverse.

or... if 1st is hard to put in... got to 4th then 1st! Thats what I do.
