3M Carbon Fiber Film

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone has done any Carbon Fiber Film Wraps on their vehicles? While my '11 Speed3 was in a body shop, a few months ago, I put some XPEL Carbon Fiber Film on the hatchback door. I'm having probs with that film not wanting to stick in certain areas on the hatch door. I have a new roll, 6 feet, that I can place on the hood of my car and trim cuts in it. I just have not had a chance to do it YET since this happened to my car that morning:

Since some dumb driver, driving a Dodge Ram 1500, decides to hit the poor baby for the 2nd time in 8 months. I will put the 3M Carbon Film on the hood while it's in the body shop. I think I am going to add some 3M CF to the lower rocker panels and in 2 sections on the rear bumper.

That is with the XPEL CF on the hatch. Not 3M CF.

If you know of any pics, with CF on Mazdas, please post pics so I could see.

BTW, here are pics from the FIRST wreck on it:

Damn, unlucky with ppl hitting your car!

I would suggest using the 3M 1080. From what I have heard, it is better than di-noc and has the same carbon feel to it.
Here is what a local member did with some di-noc

Thanks!!! Question. Did you do CF on the lower part of the rear bumper? As you can tell, by looking at my 2nd pic, I was going to place some CF onto it. I'm also going to place some CF on the lower rocker panels while it's in the body shop. IF you placed some CF on the lower part of the rear bumper, could you take a pic, or two, and post it?

Thanks!

I would like to know if there's a place here in San Antonio, Texas that can do this and for how much?

Hey there. Yeah. I wish I still had that '08 GT Hatchback instead of the '11 Speed3 getting hit TWICE within 8 months. ugh.. How is your RX-7 doing? Is it nice a detailed?

Oh yeah.... I have some interior CF stuff on order. It should arrive by weeks end, or, early next week. Once they have done the paint work on the Speed3, I will put the CF film on the hood of it too!!!

http://www.metrorestyling.com/

i order all my stuff from this site, including my red clear vinyl i used on the tail lights, and the oracal roof vinyl, which was a pita btw.... i did some vinyl wrap on the interior also. all that was silver, i wrapped with clear red.

i also did my rear mazda emblem in clear red.

the rx7 is doing good havent really even needed to wash it in the last 3 years i keep it so clean!

You could also contact the local FELLERS located at:

San Antonio, TX
Package Pickups Only
No Cash Payments Accepted
11825 Starcrest Drive
San Antonio, TX 78247

You just need to contact FELLERs since you are not able to get to their warehouse locations unless you have ordered the products over the phone.

FELLERS really offers the lowest price on things since all of the stores, there in SA, get their stuff from them.

yeah there is like 2-3 others on here from SA, Ted_R and seen another name somewhere, got a nice group of mazda's around here :)

And I'm about 3 1/2 hours away. Ya know the part of Texas next to the drug cartel land and South Padre Island!! A few times a year, I drive up to my families ranch in Boerne. In fact, I need to make a trip up there.

How hard was it to remove the sat ant from the roof?
