First off I liked to say that I put on the Protosport Downpipe system with Thermals new 3" Cat-back exhaust. I went to the track at LACR down here in cali where i ran a 16.129 previously with just a injen cai. With this new downpipe system wi ran a 15.518 and had a 4 mph increase 87.989. There was a stock VR6 that i race he did a 16.0xx with 87.4xx. I spanked him. This downpipe exhaust system i must say was a big improvement. Just to let you know the 15.518 converted to sea level is 15.052. What do you guys think? Anyways going on to my story.
I was on Reseda BLVD which is a long long street down here in Cali and basically a new white c230 Kompressor Sport Sedan was racing around (The guy was asian and there was conflict because i'm asian too) So his bling bling mercedes was going all fast and we got stopped at a light. I looked over at him as he looked at me, the light turned green and I launched and we are dead even through 1st gear. I shift to second as I lay lots of rubber and pull by 1/2 a car. By the end of 2nd gear i was about 1 car ahead of him and keep on going until the middle of 3rd I was about 1 1/2 cars and stopped. he zooms past me in his bling bling.
As for the 330i I was just crusing along and this 330i is weaving in and out of traffic and catches up to me and passes me. So i was like wtf he wants to run against the Mazdaspeed eh!!! ahah. Anyways we are stopped at a light and im behind him and the light turns green and hes off and i'm off. I'm about 1 car behind him from the start and we are just going through gears. 1st 2nd we were even the car lengths was 1 car just as the start. Going into 3rd I start catching up to about 3/4 car behind now and then I stopped. I looked at the guy and hes some old fawker. What do you guys think about the 330i? I thoguth they were a lot faster than that. I would be for sure that if my g/f and her friend was gone I would have caught up because they weigh about 220 combined weight. Plus I was driviing for 30 mins. previous to that. What do you guys think?
Just to let you guys know that the 2.4" downpipe system with the 3" exhaust helped out a lot for pwoer. The Car smells bad but performance is by far the best. I would recommend this system to any of you MSP people. The Thermal exahsut looks almost like stock which is a nice thing. The system is really loud inside but I have yet to hear it outside.
