2in straight pipe

as some of you may know i had a monster 2.5in straight pipe on it. straight from the cat back. it was so loud and crazy awesome i had to put a resonator on it. well it made me loose major low end. gained some top. but not good. (******* awesome sound though)

so i just went and got a plain jane 2in straight on it. and boom! lowend it back and theres still some nice top! and its quiter in the cabin! but actually alot louder past 3k. I STILL LOVE ITTT. less lope =[ still a good amount of backfires (for the ladies)

but yeah.

i was going to but since its way quiter in the cabin without the resonator as opposed to before im ok. also the gains and such are awesome. i have power in 4th. i can go up a hill without it plateauing. there may not be the craziest gain but it deff gave me more usable power it seems. ill have to dyno it soon.

nothing. 2in straight from the manifold (headers/monitored cat) back.

ty im on a quest for the best, sound.

i like this setup cuz it can be 10x louder than the 2.5 but its alottttt quiter in the cabin without that tiny resonator like the 2.5in had. also the gains and usable power or feel of usuable power is awesome

normally I drive between 2-3k, but sometimes I like to run and I go 6k, I was thinkin on doing a 2in without cat and resonator, but with the HKS silent muffler that comes with a resonator. I think it will not be loud at the back, but im worried about the sound on the cabin, you said that its alot louder past 3k, a video will be helpfully, thanks

sure thing ill try tomorrw to get better revs and inside. i need to put the camera away further and higher so itll pick up the sound better.

got alot of compliments at the meets. people were turning heads when i took off lol they said they cant believe a small hatch can sound like a mad rally car. my friend who i had record this with my camera says the video is a lil raspier than it really sounds.

i did (being automatic =[ ) 1st to redline then 2nd to 4kish didnt want to go too much over the speedli...i mean i need to turn back around

alot of people at that meet have STis Evos 240s Speeds and they were like dammmnnnn lol its all good fun.

That sounds awesome! I would do that myself, but sadly it would be illegal where I live. The CorkSport exhaust will have to do, but it still sounds pretty good.

corksport is the best bang for your buck for sound/performance/legality =]

im a biggggg exhaust lover and CS does it good.

im thinkin in take off the first resonator... to gain some hp... but I dont know nothin, need opinions.

not sure yet but its more responsive in the low and high. when i had my 2.5in straight i lost all my low and it sucked.

mines 2in bent though i need to find someone to custom me a nice true 2in. if you dont mind the insane sound its a good setup. but dont go bigger than 2 as the engine wont like it.
