25Converts MAM mani/Modified GT28RS install

ahh...you people are scarin' me I was hoping to do a DP job before too long but IIRC you need to pull the Mani to get to all the bolts. I guess I should take the weekend + a little more for this now...how did you guys get the busted studs out of the head?

Its not to bad. I soaked all the bolts with pb blaster for as long as I could before I got to it. That helps alot. Just take out the radiator. I didnt think that was really neede. It makes everything alot easier. I did break a stud off in the turbo housing. That was a b*tch. Just do everything right the first time and take your time.

As for 6psi, I'm not sure about that. The wastegate on that Turbo is set to 14psi...

Gracias Focus, I failed to ask you this b4 and does explain alot. So lol if you can get a hold of the install instructions for that j and s safeguard please let me know.

as for the boost gauge had one broke somehow, and have another autometer at the house awaiting to be installed by me hopefully tomorrow when I get home tomorrow morning.

So I basically wasnt boosting at all.....found a long thin crack on the vacuum line going to the wastegate actuator.....i guess i should be glad there was a crack cause i may have blown it motor.....I ordered a 7psi wastegate from ATP so I took the mani,turbo and s-pipe back off and going to put on the 7psi wastegate and tune the "conservative" map on the AFC for now.....

Crazy Good Update......ATP wastegate actuator is in, all new gaskets in, car runs very well......holds boost at 7psi, vacuum pressure is a tiny bit lower than 21.......car pulls like a mofo.......running the AFC FTC1 on the superstock map....a/f is good at idle havent really gotten on throttle to WOT I figure I will save that till I install the J&S...........possibly will see numbers,pics and vids on May 17th for a local dyno day.(if I am in Town.).......pending a/f on dyno may bump it up a pound or 2.....
