should fit, may need minor roll in the rear

speedo will be off by abut 3% when those wear out go with a 235/40R18 and youll be close to stock rolling diameter

I'm running Hanhook Ventus R-S2 235/40/18. I understand it's not the same sidewall but just saying my input. I had 225/45/18 for a couple months with H&R lowering springs and had absolutely no problems even on the harshest of turns. I went with the 235/40/18s and lo and behold, MASSIVE rubbing issues on the slightest of bumps. Had to hammer my rear fenders flat and it actually completely solved my problems. Now to find some paint to cover up the bare metal on the inside of my fenders...

Ok I've been also wondering about 235/45/18 tires. I have Cobb springs so not too much of a drop. I've considered some simple calculations and I think based on these I should be able to use the 235/45/18s with no rubbing. Please let me know if I'm overlooking something:

1) Stock 215/45/18 gives you a side wall of 96.75 mm

2) 235/45/18 gives a side wall of 105.75 mm (only 9 mm more than stock)

3) therefore, if the space between the fender and current stock sidewall is significantly more than 9 mm at all points, these 235/45s should fit right?

4) I've measured about 1.6-2.1 cm (or 16-21 mm) clearance at all points of the tire to fender on front and rear. So shouldn't these work

Is my logic flawed????? (uhm) Please any feedback would be awesome!!

Without checking your math, 9mm sidewall becomes 18mm diameter - 3/4" or so. It'll be snug. I have 225/45s on RX-8 wheels. They touch on driveway transitions. I'm usually by myself with not much "stuff" in the car, so with any more payload, I suspect they'd touch more.
