Hi everybody, is there someone who equipped his or her car with tires that wide yet???(that size or 225/40/18) I want to know if you had some problem making them fit on the car. If someone did it, he or she had to change the wheels ( the stock wheels are too narrow) what offset and width did you use??? If someone went even wider he or she can answer me too, don't forget to specify the size of tire you installed.

Thank you all

Sure... as long as you don't want to turn. :D

Hey goldwing2000, can we fit 235/18 in there. Wheelmax is suggesting a 235/40/18 to be mounted on a 18 x 7.5 wheel for our car. I think they are making a mistake, first the wheel is not wide enough for the tire and second a 235 tire is way bigger than the OEM tire, it will probably rub everywhere. What do you think???

To give you a comparison, Tire Rack is suggesting a 215/45/18 to be mounted on the same wheel (18 x 7.5).

That's pretty much my point. A 235 tire will be so wide that it will be rubbing more than a dog with tapeworms.
