People who are running 235-40-17 tires on the stock offset on the MSP, where, if any, does the rubbing occur? does it rub the struts at all?

bump, what do you guys think? do i need to get spacers if im going wih this width? and also, on the stock 17 x 7in racing harts, im i actually going to be losing performance if i go with 245?

even with a 235, the tire is going to be pudging pretty badly. the widest i ran on the stock wheels was 225/45 and they rubbed the rear fenders on large bumps.

now with 17x7.5 +48s, i run 235/40s without rubbing and trimmed rear fenders. they are pretty close to the struts.

so maybe 225 is the promise number. hrm, 225-40 vs 225-45, any recommendation being that you went the *45 route?

at first i had 225-45 17 coopers and never had a problem but then i ran 225-35 18s and they never did either.. Looked really nice too! ;)
