2024 CX-5 Door sill options?

gen1 cx5 oem for 100$ (no edge on those) or the thai oems on ebay for around the same. Not illuminated for both.

2022+ models have an extra crease on the metal.
It does not exist on my 2017 CX5. (perfectly flat)
Know this when you make your choice. ;)

2018+ have the crease/edge.
gen1 ( -2016.5) fit too over the crease but its not perfect fit. they just cover the crease if aligned.

I dont have the thai oem ones number but you can look in the past threads. There is plenty of info.

Other options are some of the chinese ones on amazon, there are some which are looking good but they are not oem.

Thanks all. Found the Thai on ebay. Ordered a cheap Amazon set. Guess we'll see once the car comes in lol

I just ordered a set of these carbon fiber look door sill protectors from colorfulcar dot com. They are peel and stick. They look pretty good, but we'll see when they get here. Cheap enough to ditch 'em if I don't like them. I just ordered the 4 piece set to cover the inner plastic sill since I already have metal protectors on the painted sills (which still look great after 10 years!).

Finally received these a few days ago and put them on today. They are a pretty thick vinyl and are very well made. The entire back is a strong adhesive, they are easy to place and conform nicely to the curves in the plastic. Hopefully they will hold up long term.

Any updates on the illuminated door sills? I am looking at the OEM battery powered but I am not convinced, too pricey. And another reason I am hesitating for is the crease on the metal, like @ceric mentioned previously. I've found on the internet some OEM door sills around 300 -350$, a bit cheaper than the price at my local Mazda dealership but I am curious to find out if they fit over that infamous crease (2020 CX-5 has it). When I crosscheck the fitment of the part with my car, on Mazda website, it says it fits but I have not been able to find any pictures, other than the one from the dealership's website with a flat surface.

I bought a set of illuminated door sills for my '17 CX5. Cost was $250 from Mazdaparts.org.
Now? MSRP is around $500. Talk about inflation !!!
Same manufacturer from Taiwan.
Good quality, but I am not paying that much for another set for my '22 CX5.

I went to the dealership and bought them. I've also seen a 2025 CX-5 with door sill installed. The ones from 2025 CX-5 don't have the black edge. There is really no difference between the part numbers and the year model, in terms of installing them. You can pick whatever door sill part number you wish and they will fit exactly the same on any CX-5, 2018 or 2025, doesn't matter.

I have them on my 2019 GTR. They (fronts only) stay on for about 30 seconds when the front doors are opened. Five years & I haven't had to replace the batteries yet.
I just replaced the driver side one of my '17 CX5. It has been 7 yrs.
The passenger side one still works.
Note: battery is 2320, not 2032 ... the latter is more common.
I had to buy 2320s from Amazon.
Very easy to replace in 1 min.
