2023 CX-5 Programmable seats not working

What kind of issues???

Well, depending on which YouTube videos you watch or how you interpret the owners' manual, seat and fob memory settings are accomplished with some combination of the ignition being in accessory mode and/or engine running. I tried just about every combination and finally decided the easiest way to do it was with the engine running. My mistake was thinking I could get the seat to adjust by opening an unlocked door with a different fob than the last person who drove the car. Took me a while to figure out that the unlock button on the fob or the soft touch button on the door handle are the only way to activate the seat memory from the outside. This seems dumb to me as it is useless for a car that spends much of its life unlocked in a garage and is shared by two drivers. As I said in my previous post, I'm used t a BMW that will adjust the seat to any fob that is in proximity any time the driver's door is opened.

Agreed, the memory system is a bit strange in the CX-5. Also, why doesn't it save the side mirror positions for each driver? A minimal cost savings which makes the car less premium.
