Hi. Just purchased the car in the subject, and was going to put in a Valentine One, but read that the laser warning would be going off a lot. I also planned on putting in a laser jammer as I had both these items in my last car, and the jammer well worth the spend.

Are these devices going to work with the Active Cruise and/or the Smart City Braking System?
I read you can turn them off, but that it still doesn't turn off the laser, just the processing of the information. Anyone know different?

Any first hand experience on how to make it work?

I don't have active cruise but the SCBS will constantly set off your laser warning on your V1. The only way to stop it is either turn off laser warnings on the V1 or turn off SCBS.

I know I'm getting really specific here before I spend $400 for the unit, $89 for the mount and $25 for the wire....

On a 2016, does turning off SCBS turn of the processing or the laser itself (which would be needed)?

Wow!! I thought all this had been rectified with the radar detectors at this point. These laser/radar cruise control systems have been available in most luxury makes since the early 2000's. I think the one in my Infiniti was notorious for setting radar detectors off but I thought new models would be able to filter it out. I guess they are still on the same light frequency as LIDAR.

I just got a 2016 GT with the Tech Package, and had to disable the laser detection on my V1. Turning off the SCBS doesn't help as it doesn't turn off the laser itself. Also, if you turn SCBS off, it will turn itself back on the next time you start the car, so you would have to be constantly turning it off. HTH.
