2016.5 Touring

I was rear ended last Thursday and it totalled my 2015 GT. The hitch was pushed down against the ground, the visor for the sunroof was opened half way and the interior trim panel above the hatch opening was knocked off! I was not hurt or even sore. Gotta love a Mazda!

Now I have a '16.5 Touring AWD with Tech and Blose/Sunroof packages. The radio has a greyed-out pick for XM, but no receiver installed. Have any of you installed an XM/Sirius receiver in a 2016.5?

The owner's manual says some '16.5s have a power plug under the A/C controls. Mine doesn't. If yours does, please post a pic, I want to install one there for my V1.

I have the same model also, and i asked Crutchfield about adding a SiriusXM tuner, and they said it's not compatible with the Factory radio. Suggested i ask Mazda if they can install their own Factory Sirius tuner. Has anyone done this on the Touring model?

I just found out from MazdaUSA that i will need a aftermarket system as each model has different wiring, and unfortunately if you don't have the GT model, you are out of luck. I will have to resort to a dockable SiriusXM player that can plug in to my AUX.
