Has anyone run into these codes before?
P0171 system too lean ( bank 1)
P0192 Fuel Rail pressure sensor low input

Autozone pulled the codes and said that it was the MAF. Switched and it is still running like garbage. Just ran out of my warranty. Any help would be great. New to the forums. Just want to say hi to everyone out there.

Miles? Might need to add some high quality fuel cleaner and a bit of high rpm driving ( manual mode shift near fuel cutoff while WOT). I'll looks up the code. Could be a dirty filter too

P0171 is associated with air/fuel delivery and a couple of vacuum/fuel/air sensors are mentioned as being culprits, including clogged/dirty..

best you can do is to clean the connector on the sensor for the p0192 code and then check engine air filter, and add a fuel system cleaner (and 92/93) and do some high rpms.. the lean code along with it probably means your FP system is fine and is just being affected by whatever is causing the p0171.

P0192 can only be triggered by a single sensor, so most likely that's where the problem is. Hopefully it's just some loose/broken wire and not actual low fuel pressure.
Those sensor wires sure look ripe for a rodent to chew on.

I certainly wouldn't recommend high RPM/WOT with a potentially faulty fuel pump system.
With the P0192 code set, his car is likely in safe-mode and won't allow high RPM/WOT anyway.

Turns out the high pressure fuel pump went out. Mazda is covering under warranty 2000 miles over 36000.

Is the FP under drivetrain warranty?

yes. it is.
